Week 8

 

This week was a tough week. Karl encouraged me to pin up my book on the wall to gain feedback. In looking at it, his only comment he gave was "well its very beige isn't it" He offered no insight as to conceptually how I could develop it further. All I knew was that it wasn't good enough, so back to the drawing board I went. 

When brainstorming where to go from here with my flatmate, we came to a conceptual direction which I had considered earlier, but never executed. Which was using the spot motif throughout. I then began redeveloping my concept and altered my colour scheme and text. I evaluated all of these decisions with my target audience. 

The overall feedback was that through these changes they felt it was more inclusive of both genders as well as more fitting of a balance between scientific and engaging. They challenged me to establish the ways in which I could push it even further, making it potentially more interactive than before.
